Diagnostic Imaging
We offer the most advanced technology and innovation in diagnostic imaging. Wexford’s first practice to install a digital radiography system allows your pet to have high-quality x-rays in a comfortable and safe environment. This will allow us to diagnose and treat any condition.
The ultrasound scanner’s high resolution is a non-invasive tool that can be used to assess the internal structure and integrity of your pet’s organs. We can also perform echo-cardiograms which are useful tests to assess your pet’s cardiac function.

Equine Surgery Wexford is one of the many services offered by the equine clinic.
Since June 2009, the Borovalley Equine Surgery is in operation. Two padded rooms are available to ensure safety for horses during anaesthesia induction and post-surgery. Horses are also monitored by closed circuit TV after surgery. Currently, the clinic only performs elective surgery on an ongoing basis.
Digital Radiology
Borovalley Equine Clinic uses the most recent digital x-ray equipment to offer a wide variety of services, including pre-purchase radiographs, survey radiographs and diagnostic imaging of problem areas, including the head, neck and back. In emergency situations, x-rays may be taken at the farm if it is impossible to transport the horse.
Digital Ultrasound
Ultrasound can be used to diagnose a variety of conditions that may affect horses. With the advancement of technology and better techniques, we can image almost any soft tissue structure in an equine patient. Ultrasound can be used as a complement to radiology to visualise soft tissue around joints that cannot be seen on x-rays.
Equine Dentistry
Equine dentistry is crucial for horse performance and health. Tooth problems can cause discomfort and pain in the mouth, including wolf teeth, hooks and sharp enamel points. Gum disease can also be caused by pocketing food or ulceration. Click here for more information
